Annet, 46 years old

Annett has been doing our Individual Coaching for 7 months now. She had a weight goal of getting down to a normal BMI and along the way has stopped caring about the number on the scale and found the right way to feel strong and energetic.

My starting point was perhaps not the worst: yes, the scale showed too many kilos, when it ended up at 84 kilos. The final straw for me was that I started to roll out of bed and I noticed that it was difficult to tie my shoes. But, I felt that I had good fitness, 35 km of running and about 20 km of walking every week.

But I realized that I had to change something to bring about a change in how I felt.

So, I decided to take the plunge and get help, to get guidance on what foods make me feel good and how my training should be structured to get the results I was looking for....

I initially set a weight goal of 69 kg, which would mean that for the first time in my adult life I would be considered to have a “normal” BMI and “6” actually felt a bit cool. Now, during the journey, the weight goal has lost its meaning: I have discovered that I enjoy strength training and that I find it motivating to increase the weights a little. This naturally counteracts weight loss, if food intake remains the same. In return, I feel strong, and I can visually see that I have developed abdominal muscles!

Then training is only part of the development, the most important thing I think is that the food is right. I was raised on a carbohydrate-rich diet, excluding bread, potatoes, pasta and rice goes completely against my family's eating habits. I eat significantly more protein and fat, and feel good about it. I was probably one of those who was afraid of eating fat because I thought that my fat intake would automatically be deposited as fat around the stomach. Now I eat 3 meals according to the diet plan, maintain my weight and feel motivated and strong during my training sessions. I have lost 11 kg, and yes, that is 4 kg from the initial target weight, but I am actually happy with what I have already achieved. All the physically noticeable and visible results are so much more than a weight goal that I set mostly because it felt like a cool number.

I feel like I have been given the tools to get to my future, where I see myself as a person who stays healthy and can handle a daily life characterized by physical activity. I see myself as a future grandmother who has a drive to spend time with her grandchildren. I don't have to eat and exercise perfectly to be in the condition I want to be in, but I know which tools work. Sure, there are those people who can have any eating and exercise behavior, they may have my dream weight, but are they as strong and healthy as I am, who eat and exercise with a plan, a goal and an awareness in the back of their mind?

Kristina

Kristina was part of our 12-week program starting September 28, 2023. She has lost 6 kg and has had much better sleep, stomach and energy.

Joining RE:YOU was the absolute best investment I've made in myself in a long time. I lost 6kg and didn't have to buy a new wardrobe. Learning a nutritious, varied diet felt like a must-have as food is incredibly important. Together with supportive & knowledgeable coaches, it became easier to get through the sometimes heavier periods. My stomach came into balance. I got the metabolism going really well in my body and felt when the subcutaneous fat was "eaten up". My skin tone changed as you can see in the pictures. I really didn't eat too many carrots, but I look and feel much fresher & more energetic now!

I learned to eat slowly which was the biggest change & challenge as before I would gobble down my food in 5 minutes. This also reduced the stress in my body radically. Imagine how such a small change can do so much. Now I plan both lunch and dinner breaks at work. I fasted on the days that suited me best. I learned the importance of walking in daylight and that I slept better then. Slowly but surely the change is happening in body and mind. I can highly recommend you to join.

Theresa

Theresia was part of our 12-week program starting January 10, 2024. She lost 3 kg and got rid of her sweet tooth, which was her biggest goal with the course.

Joining the 12-week program with ReYou is one of the best things I've done. I had a big sugar craving and my body was sore, tired and sluggish. I've lost 3 kilos and lost 5 cm in my waist. But the best thing is that you feel like you want to face the day with a "Tjhoooo now we're going 💪🏼" almost all the sugar cravings are gone and your body doesn't hurt anymore. The food in the program is tasty and easy to follow and you feel like you're feeding your body the right fuel. The training has made me feel incredibly strong and not at all as tired as I was before.

Thank you to all the coaches for the lectures and cheers. I wish everyone to feel this change!

Dennis, 64 years old

Dennis joined us in June 2022, just before he was due to have a heart bypass for atrial fibrillation/flutter. Dennis did our Individual Coaching for 18 months and has taken control of his health and lost weight from 91 kg to 85 kg.

His goal was to eat more healthily (less processed foods, chips, candy, etc.), lose weight, and run a half marathon in under 2 hours. He often felt tired and wanted to be more energetic to be able to hang out with his children and grandchildren. Dennis has a demanding job and travels a lot for work, so there were many lunches out, and lots of coffee...

Dennis had a tough start when the cardioversion for his heart went wrong, which didn't help his motivation. There were a few different challenges during his first time with us, so it was two steps forward and one step back. After a while things started to get better and he lost weight, which made him feel done with the coaching and we decided that he should take a break and try to go on on his own.

Dennis himself describes how he then became comfortable and fell back into old habits. After a few months of hiatus, he started coaching again, and since then it has been a journey in the right direction, slowly but surely!

Dennis has struggled with routines due to his varied job, but today he has much better foresight and planning is starting to take hold, for both food and training. He focuses more on sleep, and has developed good, healthy routines for training where he alternates strength with running and walking. Dennis has found a good balance with his diet and has lost weight from 91 kg to 85 kg. He can now have a small snack on selected occasions, makes smart choices at his client lunches, and has managed both everyday life and various trips with a long-term healthy approach.

We are so proud of the journey Dennis has made, and grateful that we gained his trust.

Hannah, 41 years old

Hanna did our Individual Coaching for 6 months and previously had problems with balance and constant stomach upset. She has overcome her problems with good nutrition and exercise.

For most of my adult life I have struggled with my stomach, severe cramps that limited my existence and constant anxiety about not knowing when they will come. The constant stress of planning my everyday life based on how my stomach feels and how it will react.

The healthcare system put me in the IBS category and I was recommended to eat a high-fiber diet. Which hardly helped. I tried eliminating various foods myself, but it never gave any results and the cramps kept coming back.

The feeling of hopelessness over the situation made me reconcile myself to the "this is how it's supposed to be, just have to bite the bullet and endure it". My body felt more and more exhausted with each passing year. Constant pain in my stomach, aches in my body that wouldn't go away and my mood became anything but stable.

Is this what my life is going to look like, is this what it feels like to "age"... I hated that thought! I have a physically demanding job, which is also my hobby, and I want to be able to continue doing that for many years to come.

I have been following Johannes on Instagram for a while and share his views on the importance of real food and knowledge about the body. I jumped on his coaching and since day 1 have learned an incredible amount about the body and its functions (I consider myself quite knowledgeable in that area but have had many aha experiences.

I have gained more knowledge and understanding of how hormones affect my body and how to work with them instead of against them, especially when it comes to training. How important rest and the opportunity for recovery are for my body and above all, the most important thing of all, is that my stomach has been in balance since I started. It no longer controls my thoughts, my life and it is a liberation. I feel strong and well.

Lisa, 43 years old

Lisa did our Individual Coaching for 5 months and has since had more stable blood sugar and lost weight from 78 to 67 kg.

When I saw results from other participants, I thought, "they are like me, ordinary parents of young children who have lost their strength and know that something needs to change but don't know how to start."

The biggest difference is my blood sugar, which stays stable during the day. I don't get hungry anymore or feel like I have to "crap" in the evenings. Then of course I feel like I have a lot more energy. Playing with my children (which was my main goal in signing up) but also, for example, the other day when I had to sprint 100 meters to catch the bus.

I felt like there were no problems and I was barely out of breath - it definitely wasn't like that before the program! I feel like I've come a long way on my health journey, but I also feel like I can live this way for the rest of my life which feels important. Finding a sustainable lifestyle and not a diet.

Lena, 50 years old

Lena did our Individual Coaching for 6 months and has since developed better routines and lost weight from 85 kg to 77.5 kg.

A few years ago, my health deteriorated due to stress, and before I could get over it, my body became very weak. I didn't dare exercise or eat because it triggered severe pain and cramps in my upper body (I thought, but it was actually panic attacks).

When that problem disappeared with the help of medicine, it felt like life came back, and above all, I dared to eat everything again and that of course led to weight gain. When you don't eat such good food, usually a grocery store lunch and just a plate of filet for dinner, you get a little more tired than when you eat "right".

My 50th birthday was approaching, all the podcasters I follow were talking about how important it is for women to have good muscle strength. It was time to invest in myself. So what are the results after 6 months of the program? I am very satisfied!

I've found my way back to cooking and even though I don't think it's a lot of fun, I know that what I cook is good for me. I've really crossed the threshold of wanting to exercise, now I even look forward to going to the gym or to the joint lunchtime workout at work.

Anna-Karin, 52 years old

Anna-Karin did our Individual Coaching for four months and has since gained better routines and a more energetic body.

For me it was important to get my eating routines in order, but also my training. A few times I ended up off track, but I felt that it was okay anyway, because I picked myself up again and was back on track. However, I never got up when this happened, because I still believe that I made good choices once I fell off the rails. After just a week or so, I started to feel “fresh” in my body, not bloated but clean and not swollen.

Felt more energetic and happier. I am convinced that my body does not need dairy products and a lot of gluten. How lucky that I love Coconut Milk, many recipes for it. Great ideas!
